Crisis Assistance / Help to Others (H20)

Many families in our neighborhood face crises due to being low-income. Restorers handles the crisis assistance requests for those who live in the geographical location of Restorers.

Assistance is given toward rent, utilities, and other emergencies. We view this program as our front door program, in which we are able to give a cup of cold water (H20) in Jesus' name.

However, we do not want people to stay in a state of crisis, and so we work with the families we come in contact with to help them move to the next steps necessary to avoid a repeat of the crisis.

We handle approximately 25 cases each month and try to connect these families to other resources, including our budgeting program; whatever can help them toward their goals. Families receiving assistance are asked to give back to the community by volunteering some time to help others.

Funding for this program comes from the generous donations of members of Madison Square Church, through the deacons.
