Restorers works within a very specific geographic area in the southeast community of Grand Rapids, as you will see below.

- Census Tract 35 (yellow) - just east
- Census Tract 36 (light orange)
- Census Tract 37 (dark orange) - just south

The neighborhood has a 93% minority population compared to 38% for the city as a whole
Households receiving some form of public assistance is close to 16% compared to only 5% in the City
There is higher renter-occupied housing in the neighborhood and a lower home ownership rate
The median income for households in the neighborhood in 1999 was almost $20,000 compared to $37,244 for the city and close to $46,000 for Kent County Households.
Households receiving some form of SSI is close to 17% compared to only 5% in the City.
Over 40% of households in the neighborhood are female headed with no male present.
